HAYDEN FLOWERS

PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Hayden Flowers is the Program Director of Cyprus Coaching Academy and is Head Coach of the EMU Crows. Coach Flowers has been coaching football and recruiting for over 30 years. After playing football at the collegiate level in the US, he went on to start several successful businesses recruiting for various professional industries. Here Coach Flowers learned how the work ethic, enthusiasm, and teamwork he had learned playing football translated well into the business world. But even when he was in business, he always longed to get back to his true passion, American football.

Coach Flowers founded and coached a successful football program at a Texas high school, and helped lead a team to the State Championship. In these years he experienced what an important role a coach plays in the lives of  young men learning the game of football, and how to help boys transform into men both on and off the field.

In 2006, Coach Flowers moved to Cyprus to coach at Eastern Mediterranean University, where he coached for two seasons and got a crash course on how to develop men and coach football in an international context. Over the next decade he coached the Istanbul Cavaliers, the Mersin Mustangs, and teams at METU and Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey. Now, Coach Flowers runs a recruiting agency as well as coaching at EMU and directing the Coaching Academy.

Coach Flowers is married to Amy, has three children, and (soon to be) six grandchildren.
